Peter Klotz
Republican Peter Klotz, a 27 year Malta resident, is looking for support in his effort to continue to serve the people of Malta. Klotz, a two term incumbent, and his supporters will be collecting signatures beginning Tuesday, June 2 to place his name on the September Primary ballot.
“I have been actively involved in this community since moving here,” says Klotz. “The day after I moved here as Pastor of St Peter Lutheran Church, I became part of the Malta Ambulance Corps. I became involved in the schools when my boys were younger and also began to participate in Malta government as part of the planning for the Plains Road Park. Later, I was appointed to Chair the first Ethics Committee. I Chaired the Planning Board and eight years ago I was elected to the Town Board. It’s been exciting and rewarding to see Malta develop as an attractive community where people want to live and work. I think we have struck a good balance between growth and retaining a sense of Malta being a unique and desirable community.”

“Many people have worked for many years to get us to where we are. I’ve been part of the process for many years and I want to continue to be part of this process. Careful choices that keep taxes low and that promote programs for children, families, and seniors are important quality of life issues for our community. I am proud of Malta and I believe most of the people in Malta are also.”
